。。。我發現，記憶的拼圖不是死的。

記憶是逐漸纍加，越來越多，越來越複雜，

於是碎片一直拼湊不完。

一邊要努力回憶起舊的部分，

一邊，又要把握正漸漸成爲我生命的那一部份。

屬於他的拼圖，卻是我所看過，最簡單，

最沒有修飾，最直接了當的。

玩過拼圖的人都知道，複雜的圖形反而容易掌握，

因爲每一塊都那麽特異，

很快就能知曉他應放置的坐標。

但越是簡單的圖形，例如蔚藍的天空，

茵茵綠地，卻往往是最難拼成的。

因爲每一篇都太樸直，太單純，

許久都不會明白上一塊跟下一塊之間的關係。

alright i m posting from the vista sidebar! kind of :D cool...loving my new (compaq)(again) laptop..so far so gd. the specs are almost only half as gd as the thinkpad tt i ordered but well i saved 800 bucks! the looonngg (relative) delay in delivery of the sch lenovo had made my first wk in sch kind of inconvenient and after talking to several pple i was suayed towards 'get-a-cheap-laptop-since-u'll-prob-use-it-for-just-another-yr" makes sense but i wonder why my sis couldn't manage to persuade me earlier on with the same words...lol..
so far so gd...compaq=budget HP design so i think it's quite a steal ;) it's definitely looking gd (blue leds touch sensor controls sleek cover imprints glossy lcd) and working well (keeping fingers crossed).
but...sigh. one day was spent looking for softwares. vista is..really..a pain..in this aspect. so far...only sketchup managed to get itself running in the machine..the rest..i'll have to get hold of them soon!
ok after 1 wk of workshop..conclusion: new friends. new letctures. new responsibility. new interactions. new attitude. + extreme lethargy. first sign of isolation. nervous presentations. preoccupied mind. two more weeks to go..overall it was sth nice that happened i'll give it a 7/10..lol(despite the perpetual tiredness it caused, even till now)
meanwhile, i don't how it will happen, but i will have to get myself back into the dissert...
get tt crappy thing over with..WHEN -_-

after 4 days of staying at home *sick*
with sleepless nites and eyes glued to the ebay site *sick*
a "happinious-est" nite at yy *nt sick* with lots of "turpentine" *sick*
yoga flips and blah blah with "turpentine" churning in stomach (still!) *sick*
an afternoon spent squeezing thru the jam-packed toy&comicconvention *sick*
4-hr-buffet at pariss at marina square *sick*

i really became sick...

yuck.

kind of o.k. now but..ooh buffet is one evil thing. temporal enjoyment that makes u suffer for a long time..

haha. but to be frank. the process was nice.

i had to myself, half a dozen oysters...

some baby lobsters..

sashimi and blah blah..

dimsum and old-chang-kee-ish stuff..

black pepper crab (!!)

an earl grey float ;) 4 long espressos (one of which became affogato):) and that's DURIAN puff u see at the back

and many many many others which i didn't bother to snap with my phone..so..hmm it's easy to see how i got sooo sick..haha

spent 4 hrs there 6-10pm..my personal record..but that's including the 1-hr shopping break in between..pple in zara and mango were almost crazy haha

and shopping.

yesterday's post was a preview of what happened today.
yes, i went to sign that d_mn thing.
as some (i don't know who exactly, but seems like quite a handful) might know, i got the j_c scholarship (ok don't ask me why i apply now and blah blah)
and anyway today was the 'sign-your-two-years-away' day. it's a tea reception which parents and sureties are invited to..with some talking..some coporate video..some sharing sessions
and to my pleasant surprise (ok not exactly pleasant and shldn't have been a surprise in the first place), i was joined by 2 young sweet 'a' level grad girls. and to my horror, the whole sharing session was "how to cope with life in US/UK" wow..how relevant. (just to give you a glimpse of the content: you must bring a rice cooker; an eraser can be as expensive as a shirt; skype IS the cheapest; learn to cook you must learn to cook; rail is fastest; air fares by budget carriers are dirt cheap; buy the latest laptop here bring it over and make the outdated brits jealous; and hell lot more..and i wonder why i remember all these!)

as one of the sharing scholar(ly) guys correctly pointed out ("i guess it's you [pointing to sweet girl A] and you [pointing to sweet girl B] going over to England right?....ya guess can clearly see the age *sniggers*[referring to the 3rd OLD bored and uninterested person].."), i was [1] the only mid term aka old person, [2] the only local uni person;
and as the presentation went on to academic standards to upkeep blah blah i realised i was also [3] the least (or not at all) qualified for a s_holar_hip (it read "for undergraduate scholars, to continue masters studies, you have to obtain first class honours.."(!!!) omg...i think they have made a terrible mistake here..i am a *#$xjs^$#$! 2L person -___-)

anyway the scholar(ly) guy i referred to completed his 2nd yr in city and regional planning in cardiff and is currently back for internship..when he learnt I m actually an aki major he said 'oh, so i guess u r very good in autocad...but you should start using sketchup too' (lol..) '..ya we've to use that as well..' 'oh tt's gd tt's gd..ya then just read up more..keep reading it's good for you....'

having to on/off 5-6 times for it to boot up...is not good.
sigh. prepared for the worst. all impt stuff is going to my hdd and maybe i shall buy a new laptop during matric fair. hmm..
ya guess i'm more a laptop person. hates the clutter on my ultra messy table. no space no space. my home's in a mess. my stuff has presence in every room (including my parent's and kitchen!) wow..
mid yr resolution: get rid of tt massive drafting table, get a book shelf, dump 'sentimental' stuff, clear the boxes and model materials -__-, get rid of spoilt cpus, printers, scanners, cameras, get a new bed, and of cos those unwanted clothes and bags..0_0
woah..many things to be done..and of cos dissertation on top of all these.
i vaguely remember wanting to learn some 3dmax or rhino or sth before returning to sch..haha

for now, i've gotta write a letter to explain why i skipped the "method of instruction for higher first aid" (eeks) lectures for my taiwan and bkk vacations (isn't it obvious?!) haiz feel like ignoring and let them fail me as they wish. my letter wld sound just as ridiculous as my verbal clarification what. duh.

i find doing up a wishlist pretty weird....seriously...

bangzhi's party was a real big reunion..
everyone was going "eh..hello..."..all around all the time..

i missed quite a no. of the previous gatherings..
in fact i guess the last time i meet those 4E guys and xj and doreen was more than a yr back!
so decided i m nt going to miss this..

though it was a crazy trip fr jurong to potong pasir and then to yew tee....
the long journey in xchange for the short 1+hr stay there was worthwhile..
it was nice seeing everyone well and fine and as crappy as ever..
even though i didn't get to talk to them much
it feels gd to re-live the rv sec 4 days..=D

and the fact tt everyone seem to look the same talk the same way behave in the same manner after so many years never fails to impress me!!

glad to b able to SEE all those chirpy happy crappy peeps once in a while! whahaha..

hehehe an overdue post..
abt crit.....
was really nervous this time rd...i guess it was because i took it much more seriously than all previous sems..
stammer.....disorganised.....messed up the order of my presentation...yah my presentation was bad...
but the comments fortunately were nt as bad =p
swk gave gd & encouraging comments unexpectedly....cos last sem....hmm........scary....

anyway it was a fun crit cos the whole crit rm was turned a pseudo spa rm..hee
thanks to shi'ai craig ju and i dunno who else..who did up the rm nicely...(though jiayu cldn't stand the scent....haha)
and all gals were in white top and batik skirt..quite cool i thought..i believe it must have been the first eva 'coordinated' crit we've seen...:D

this sem has been so much better than expected...great studiomates...fun bintan trip...and enriching studio sessions....though unpleasant things do happen along the way..as always....the sem was 'well-spent' in my view (i know others may disagree..) >_<

last nite was another nice gathering at an indian restaurant at excelsior hotel - Annalakshmi...the ambience was great...homely exotic feel..what impressed me was their way of running the place...i seriously wonder how they make profits...hmm....it's buffet style and everything's without pricetags...so u pay as much as u like.....hmm weird huh....but it's their ideology tt everyone shld be able to enjoy..be it the food in this fab restaurant..or the performances in their temple of fine arts....regardless if they cld afford...and the staff there are all volunteers...amazing nice pple huh...of cos the food's great..north indian food...definitely need some adaptation =) but i believe most wld like it..

overall...i m satisfied...it was a nice sem =D
well exams' nt started yet...haven started studying yet...but well aki students know the major thing's over! phew...=D
